The crews of the Delta Rebel and Unfinished Business performed admirably together and are a credit to the Spare Pool. I am requesting that they serve together on Mission 32, to return to the Pool after that upcoming mission. Return of temporary replacement crew member
Sir, somehow, this letter appeared on my bunk. After reading it, I guess I it was put there as my bunk was once used by 1st Lt Jerry Burch, the former pilot of The Grim Reaper.
After checking around, I found that the bomber went down with all crew on May 11th (mission #030) and the crew are now POWs. Somehow, notifying your office became lost in the cracks.
As far as I can tell, S/Sgt Dennis Weber is alive and well and a guest of the Germans and will not be returning to the spare pool.
