Temporary replacement crew can be plucked from this list as replacements for your crew members who are in the hospital. Squadron Commanders, and Group brass, may also assign spare crews to spare bombers on an as-needed basis.
"Hey there. My name is Cap'n Robert Shea, but you can call me Bobby. I'm the 509th's Group Personnel Officer. I manage the Spare Crew Pool. Read the instructions below, on this here clipboard, and submit your forms, in triplicate, to the Sergeant over there, to request any spare crew for your bomber. I'll see to it they show up for your next mission brief. Have a good'n."
INSTRUCTIONS FOR REQUESTING SPARE CREW:
1) Consult the list below to look up the name and rank of a possible spare to fill your need.
- Keep in mind that B-24 qualified crewmembers will be annotated as such below (Pilot, Co-Pilot, Engineer only).
2) Then, please check this thread, and review the most recent posts, to confirm that another bomber hasn't already picked up a spare person you want, between missions.
3) Please make a post, on this thread, and use the format below, to request temporary crew members from Captain Shea, the Personnel Officer.

colbourne66 SSGT Fox is approved for permanent assignment to Helzzapoppin. I will remove him from the spare pool.  As an FYI: In the future if you are replacing a lost crewman, on a permanent basis, you don't need to request him from the spare pool. Just go ahead and assign your new permanent name on your own.
