Unfortunately, 2Lt. Oswold received a fatal head wound on the mission to Rome. He was replacing my regular bombardier, 2Lt. Walcott, who is due to RTD on 04/26/44. If there are any missions to be flown before that date, a further replacement will be requested.
2Lt. Oswold performed his duties skilfully and efficiently, keeping to the highest standards of the USAAF.

I request that radio operator SSGT Raymond Moultrie be assigned to Suzy Q of the 78th BS until approximately 11 August, replacing SGT Benjamin Bravebird. Bravebird suffered a broken leg on the Rome mission and wll be grounded until August.
