I would like to formally request the permanent assignment of Bombardier 2LT Benjamin Galardi to the B-24J Next Objective.
2LT Cory McIntyre, our original bombardier, is expected to be released from hospital on or about 23 APR 1944. LT McIntyre is a good man and a good bombardier.
Bombardier, Cory McIntyre, 2LT, 5 missions, PH, bombing accuracy 37.5%.
My concerns are his being out of combat for an extended period, to be returned to a crew that has meshed well with the current bombardier.

Sir,
1LT Michael Smyser requesting a transfer from the spare crew pool to the B-17G Wild Child of the 80th Squadron. I am in need of a right waist gunner as mine is out for 6 weeks. The gunner I am requesting is Bubba "Bama" Giroux. I will need him from 16 April 1944 with an expected return date of 2 June 1944. The next mission will be mission 23.
