Man it is sure hot around here. It's hard to put on the sheepskin when it's 90 degrees outside. It feels kind of good to get up 20,000 feet to the cool air - kind of. Takeoff from the steel matting was good. Got lost in Zone 2 for a while. Found our way back after a bit. Weather was good most of the way. We hit a thunderstorm just before the target but we cleared it after 15 minutes. There was action around the target where we saw all the enemy a/c we were going to see. Got three of them. Flak missed us in and out. Bombed ON target with 20% coverage. Hit that same storm on the way home to no effect. Landed safely. We used 27 of 34 fuel units. 2LT Ellis Johnston - Pilot
