For players using Target for Today is their an accompanying Table 5-7 HIT DAMAGE AGAINST [ITALIAN] FIGHTER? I know their was one we used in the 87th - Bombers Over the Desert which included the Italians could this be imported here please. Do we need similar data for the Romanians, Bulgarians, Hungarians? I don't know how often we'll encounter them.

If you're referring to the note about removing one fighter when over the Med, that applies only to those zones where you are flying only over the Mediterranean Sea itself. If you are operating over any land mass, even if it is a split zone (i.e. Mediterranean - Greece) then you do not remove one fighter.
The two specialized tables handle encounters a little differently.
For QOTS players, at the top of the yellow column on our special B-3 table it states, “Use the standard B-3 Table from the original game for encounters over Greece, Crete, Bulgaria & Yugoslavia.” It is not the Med column representing vast empty spaces over the water.
For TFT players, as stated by crushedhat, over land, and over the Aegean with its proximity to airbases, the removal of one fighter from our special Table 5-3 does not apply. (The removal of the fighter over the Mediterranean tries to represent that fighter sweeps and early warnings were not as common far from land.)

They're not dumb questions.
The listing 'Med/Greece" means it is a split Zone, partly over the Med, partly over Greece,' and therefore treated as a 'land' zone and not as a 'Med' zone. In other words, considering limburger59's explanation of the rationale behind the reduction in EA over the Med, you are close enough to land that there are plenty of EA to run into.
Incidendly, you would also treat this as a 'land' zone for purposes of being subjected to additional flak if flying blow 10,000 Ft. If you had to Bailout, or Crash Land, you'd randomly determine whether you were over the land or water part of the zone.
onezuludelta: Alright, I ran through a mission on VASSAL and I think I got the hang of it, I think I'll join and just play VASSAL until I get the physical copy in the mail

linnyfish8: Awesome, thank you. that is what I thought. I'll edit my post with the "correct" numbers (I put both just so I wouldn't get confused)

crushedhat: Correct. You must either complete the mission or abort after having engaged the enemy.

linnyfish8: Just to make sure, for the latest mission we crashed on takeoff and are Cat-E. For the crew that survives, this does not count towards their mission total since we didn't even take off, right?

onezuludelta: Ah, nice, thanks for the link! "the 509th will be moving either to Algeria or England or Dakar or New Orleans"... being from New Orleans, I can confidently say y'all got shortchanged with the move to Algeria.

onezuludelta: And this is in Algeria, then the next in Italy?

onezuludelta: Thanks limburger59 it looks like a great time, I especially think it will be even easier to get into the game with all this wonderful campaign pre-planning already done for me!. Another question, the last campaign was based in Malta?

limburger59: Answer for onezuludelta - Active players depends on Real Life. One mission may have a dozen players assigned to a squadron submitting AARs. The next mission only 8. We don’t limit the number of players to 6 per squadron as enjoying the game is priority.

onezuludelta: Hey all, I'm new here and would like to join up. Will probably buy a copy of TfT soon. Just wondering: around how many people are active in the squadrons?

jasta6: theboyce, Yes, I had a 3/2 escort once and rolled up five Butcherbirds in the first of two waves. I took a lick'n that zone and didn't realize my error till two zones later... OH WELL, live and learn. Recounting for a friend!

limburger59: Kitkala Lame Horse flew on Mission 25, and was last seen on Malta flirting with that Scottish Red Cross volunteer who was passing out donuts and hot tea. Looks like he didn't make the transition between campaigns.

theboyce: Just finished typing up the AAR for 29. Sad day for the bomber crew of MISS HAP. Going to catch up to the campaign tomorrow and fly 30. Hopefully this doesn't screw too much up.
